Ok. Let me first say that my husband and I are extremely old fashioned and believe wives should obey and submit and husbands can discipline and spank thier wives when they feel they need it. So no ABUSE comments or feminist bull!
Ok, so me and my husband were at his friends house and I acted REALLY rude and bitchy the whole time, don't know why, so finally my hubby grabbed my arm, took me inside(we were outside at a bbq) sat on the couch and pulled me over his knee pulled up my skirt and spanked me! I was SOOO embarrased. I mean everyone could hear and the door was wide open so they could see too. He's never spanked me in front of people. I heard people laughing and even the women were saying that I had it coming. But it hurt like heck(well, I guess a spanking should). I mean I KNOW I deserved the spanking, but my question is was he right to handle me there or should he have waited until we got home to deal with me and spank me.

Okay, either you are physically abused by your husband or if you liked it take it to the bedroom and dont do that in front of your daughter. Thats freakin weird if you mean he seriously spanked you for doing something wrong. This is NOT normal what-so-ever!

Well I'm sorry Tiff , but your belief system is the wife obey's the husband and he can discipline her how ever he likes ? thats NOT in any bible I've read so where is the old fashioned idea from ? the book of dominatrix's and dominants?
You have NO reason to ask this here because you CHOSE the life style so you TAKE the punishment .Now go mop some floors and let us answer questioners real problems.
The whole point of Question's and Answer's is having a place we can come and vent our problems , ask for help and take on board the advice given and be able to process the BS from the real people wanting to help the situation , while not all Question'ers actually heed the advice after processing it and use it to make their live's less stressful and more comfortable / manageable a lot of people do actually move on after the advice is given.
When I give advice it's usually based on a double sided coin , I tend to give the side where the problem is real and does need tending to and advise moving on and giving yourself time to mourn the loss of a marriage or a loved 1 and then taking up some hobbies like art classes or theatre group's , what ever is needed to rebuild the self esteem and the inner soul.
On the other side of the coin I give the negative , where I dont totally believe 100% that the question is actually viable or true and honest , like when someone just gets bored and basically writes a question that sounds like something out of a story they read some where.

If this was at a B&D or S&M gathering or a party of spanking enthusiasts and it was consensual then there is nothing wrong. Especially if other wives were getting spanked because that is what those games and gathering are about....
BUT, if it was NOT in one of the above mentioned situations then it was not right in my opinion.
Why all the thumbs down?Some people must be jealous!

Sometimes women act like little girls and should be treated as such. You were acting immature in front of everyone, so it's only logical that he spanked you in front of everyone. Judging by the description of your behavior, I hope he spanked your bottom until it was bright red and tears rolled down your face!

Tiffany, my husband and I are in this type of relationship as well.. Actually there is a name for it , Christian Domestic Discipline. Yes I think it was right, because werent you a submissive sweet wife the rest of the time you were there? Just a thought. My husband would not have hesitated.
