I heard of some girls getting upto 35 ultrasounds and one girl is only 5 months pregnant. How safe is it to have so many ultrasounds?????

She is in the process of making a photo album of ultrasound pictures and she does ultrasounds for a living!!!

seems like a lot to me and to make a photo album out of all these altrasounds pics just seems so silly.. especially if its not good for the baby!!

I have only had one done and I am having my second done next week but I have a perfectly healthy pregnancy with no problems that they are worried about. some people have to have a lot done to check out problems and stuff. But ultrasounds are perfectly safe and you could have one done daily without problems for the baby, it is just sound waves that pick up shapes.good luck and god bless!

That would mean she's having 1-2 a week. I've never heard of that before, even in a high risk pregnancy. The research is still out on whether or not a lot of ultrasounds will hurt the baby.

I have had 3 and iam only 13 weeks. I was worried about it being safe and asked a question on here.... Everyone just keep saying its safe. BUT its not know if ultrasounds are safe. On the other hand many girls have 20-30 ultrasounds and ther babies are fine. I plan to only do them if needed.

They say ultrasound is comletely safe during pregnancy. They don't use radiation or anything the ultrasound is obtained through sound waves.

I don't know how good that would be for the baby, thats an aweful lot of scans,i've never heard of people having this many through one pregnancy, usless it's a high risk pregnancy.

Nobody really knows how safe multiple ultrasounds are so I would be scared to get that many.

Seems safe. But so many isn't necessary. I guess your friend just requested them for piece of mind. She would have to go to the doctor like twice a week.

sounds like she is really paranoid that something could happen to the baby. especially because she is only 5 months pregnant. i know personally, i used to feel like something was wrong because i didnt feel any different. maybe she felt the same way so went to the docs to check up to see if she was alright because she got nervous.

well i cant say how safe it is but i am 12 weeks pregnant with twins and my doctor told me i will have one done every 4 weeks threw my pregnancy to make sure everything is well with the twins so i wouldn't think it would be to bad or they wouldn't do them

haveing that many Ultrasounds could not be a good thing
