I find them disgusting and useless

I think that too, I think I'm missing the mother gene. I never played with baby dolls growing up, even at a young age I knew I never wanted to be a parent. The whole thought of being pregnant & giving birth disgusts me. I hate it when a person shoves their bundle of "joy" in my face and expect me to ohhhh, and ahhhh. I just go ahhh to be nice, but what I'm really thinking is "what, do you want a medal for having a child?", I especially hate going to some place where you expect children not to be, and suprise suprise some dipsh!t bring their nosy kids, i.e: fancy resturants, action movies, the gym, etc. I mean don't bring your nosy, crying child to the gym where I'm trying to zone out and work out, or worse when you're on a date at a fancy resturant (not the family chains like olive garden), and some idiots brings their children, you know the type, they dress them up in button down shirts and khaki's with the childs hair parted on the side and gelled down, the child acts like a complete spoiled brat and the parents don't do a thing to shut them up, so here you are trying to enjoy your date with some child in the table in the back of you standing in their seats crying their heads off.

I'm the same, with babies that are younger than 3 months. They're still too larval for me to like them! I'm just not maternal that way ... but after that, when they start to develop personalities and sit up and take notice of what's going on around them, then I like them a lot. They're cute and funny.

I still don't do the nappy-changing thing though. I've never changed a nappy in my life, and I'm 39.

My son looked like a frozen chicken, but know he's de-wrinkled he's gorgeous. No offense OAP's, but do you find 80 year olds gorgeous the answer is probably not. We start off wrinkley and helpless, and end up that way in later life. So once the baby has de-wrinkled s/he will look beautiful.

You're friends with Helen Mirren? No, but in all honesty you are one of the privileged few with lucid perceptions, i.e. you can see that babies are loud, annoying, smelly, a waste of money and unrewarding.

lol..not everyone gets babies. They are dependent, needy, costly, pull hair, cry uncontrollably, spit up on you, etc. But that's the beauty of it, they are so dependent..the responsibility is on you. It's up to you to sustain this life, this life that you created. It's a beautiful thing..I honestly can't wait to have a baby.
