I've read questions about which political party will BENEFIT from the fires and is it totally political for Bush to declare this a disaster area.

To me that is cruel and heartless when you look at the millions of people that have been affected by these fires!

JUST IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY, I heard that 950k people have been evacuated. 1,000 homes have been destroyed. At least 1 person has died. Firefighters and civilians have been burned. People have a hard time breathing with all the smoke.

My main problems are not being able to breathe and I've had a headache for 3 days. My cat is freaking out and I'm alone since my husband is out of town on business.

Am I over too sensitive because I am in the middle of this disaster or are these a bunch of twits that don't know what it's like and don't care?

The ignorance that is out there in America is very surprising to me, call me naive I guess.
I've only really encountered this, "We all tan ourselves everyday, get plastic surgery, drive beamers, know a celebrity down the block in Hollywood, own million dollar homes and live in the OC" from people in other countries and some states back east who have never left their state.
It's quite disheartening that people cannot read a map and understand the magnitude of this disaster and are so hateful.
CA is a very big place.

Please take care and be safe! our prayers go out for everyone being effected by this tradegy.

There are many of passions to pursue in San Diego and that hotelbye is the place to begin discovers what San Diego must offer. In the San Diego vacation you'll step outside of one's rut and you'll examine new actions while you are here and you might only discover that obtaining a new goal is definitely an adventure in itself. One of the areas should see from San Diego is Balboa Park. This park has over a 1400 acre and here you'll find old houses, numerous museums, gardens, and natural space. The park was made for the Panama California Exhibition of 1915-1916. The predominant structure is Spanish-Mexican model, minimal level structures that merge with the organic surroundings. Among the features of the park are the Botanical Gardens and lily pond, the Museum of Man, the Museum of Natural History, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the popular San Diego Zoo. Even although you never get into a developing the park is just an attractive place.

**ADD ON****
Go to Walmart and get a couple of the $28 Holmes air cleaners and run it if you can as it will remove most air polluntants down to 1 micron in size and really works. I use them all the time, removes chemical and smoke smell and cleans the air. Hope you can get one or two and it helps. Take care.

It's insane and the ones asking such junk are probably the ones that can get away with anything, so I doubt if they are conservatives or republicans, but you never know. Yahoo had a deal about arson and that's always a question with so many and may be right but the political stuff is by the loons.

As far as a disaster area, normally the governor contacts the Presidents people and they get the ball rolling, do you think that 350,000 people displaced is a disaster, once again the left is grasping at straws. Too bad we cannot lock them up with Arnold for a few minutes.

It never surprises me what the left will do as that is one of their major ways of intimidating people. Most of that stuff is sick and insane.Thank the Lord for normal Americans! It's also good to be able to recognize them and avoid them. Take care and keep safe.

My wife comes from southern cal and she was snorting with disgust at the Liberal politicians trying to make political hay out of this. You know full well if president Bush had not made this a disaster area the same bunch of twits would have been whinning over the "delay" in the president taking action.

I am sorry to hear about your situation.
I pray you will get the relief you so desperately need. And soon.
This country is so divided that it seems battle lines are drawn over the least bit of controversy.
Some people believe, because the neighborhoods affected are fairly well of, financially, it affected the response time and how the situation got handled.
In some ways it is the shadow of Katrina.Rich/poor,fire/water.
Anyway the political debates can start after the fires are put out.
Please, not a second before.

Yeah I think the questions are rather pointless and inconsiderate. I just saw a question blaming the terriorists for the fires. And who cares which political party will benifit from the fires. They are just being unsensitive and rude and my heart goes out to all the Californians who have to be evacuated and are dealing with these problems. I lived in Malibu last year and it is gorgeous and I really love the people out there. Good luck to you all and god bless. I wish there was something I could do to help! Personally if you can think of anything don't hesitate to email!

Our prayers go out to you!

Yes, I think it is absolutely horrible that Democrats can't help but make everything, even natural disasters, into a political issue to feed their endless and obsessive hatred for Bush.

They are sick with hate and addicted to it.

What's really sad is that people are letting them get away with it. But I think the tide is turning, people are getting fed up with their endless messages of hate.

What's the main thing that people need? What can we do to help?

I just saw a stupid question from a conservative blaming liberals for the fires, so that proves that idiots are on both sides of the aisles.
