Yes, the contrast with Forrest Gump haven't been sufficiently explored - both are goobers, but while Forrest started out poor, and overcame his disability to achieve victory, Bush started out rich, and turned sure success into defeat. Also, Bush has a degree in History, but it's not clear he learned anything in college...

What made Forrest Gump, Forest Gump, was his honesty, innocence and his correctness. Despite being "stupid" he was actually the only smart one.

If you mean is Bush a reverse image of Gump, I agree completely.
