Neither. I either go back or I don't...

Both, because as a restaurant manager I like to know what the customer is thinking about their experience and I extend that courtesy to others in my industry. Also, filling out the comment card never hurts, sometimes you get free coupons in the mail or invitations to private events the restaurant might have in the future, ie. a New Years Eve galla, etc.

mostly bad, but then again i worked food industry when i was younger, then again, i work in customer service now.
If there is a bad experience, i feel that my money was taken from me.
At that point manager should AT LEAST offer my meal to be free, or a free desert or something. Thats what i did when i was younger. As far as good comments, i do leave good ones when service was exceptional. Good service doesn't get a comment from me, because its supposed to be good. Its when the waiter/waitress/manager/employee does something to wow me, something above and beyond what i expect, thats when i call the comment line or leave a comment card.

BOTH if you have had a great experience including the waitress, food and timing. Then it is good to let management know that their staff is doing a good job. If you have had a bad experience then that is also good to let them know. If the food was terrible then it may even be important to let managers know right away. But I never give personal information on those cards and noone should.

Usually really bad. But honestly even that doesn't always motivate me. I once found a rubber band in my salad at a local restuarant, but was still too lazy to fill out the comment card.

When I was younger it was always a bad experience. With age I have found that the good is hardly ever recognized. So now, if I feel the dining experience was good and the waitress/waiter was great then I leave a comment with their name so they are recognized.

Very rarely do any customers take the time or make the effort to fill one out these days. We even put them on every table for a few weeks and they were all trashed.

Just the availability of a comment card.

I usually say good things about restaurants.

I personally do not fill them out - if I am happy then I will say so to the waiter/waitress if not then the manager will know

If I have the time I always try to fill them out, just because if it was me I would want to know how my business was doing!
Enjoy your meal!!
