I see the Democrats handling the situation with diplomacy that Bush should have used instead of Cowboy neanderthal methods.
I see the Democrats making corrections that are going to make us safe again.
Bush's own administration recently released a report stating what Bush has done has made our country less safe.

Obama's about the only person in either party that's talked about going after Osama
here's where we are after 6 years of a Republican led war on terror, according to the Republican appointed CIA director:
"The danger the United States faced," he said, was "more real than anything our citizens at home have confronted since our Civil War."
this is what scares me... the CIA says the threat has INCREASED? Mainly because the Republicans have given up on Osama and are more concerned about the "sovereignty of Pakistan" than the greatest threat the the U.S. since the Civil War?
you tell me which is more important?

How do you think the "pubs" handled it. Odd how everything that should have happened after the towers fell didn't, while the president spent time reading a child's book. Odd how rumors surround this administration to the harm of people they do not like. Odd how CIA agents are outed and the president dismissed the court ordered sentence on Libby. Odd how those "pubs" never pay including the billions borrowed from ASIA but THEY won't raise taxes.

How many terrorists are we talking about? Are we talking about the thousands upon thousands that will board air planes or ships and follow us home if we leave Iraq now as the cons seem to think will happen? Are we talking about one or two that sneak in under the watchful eyes of the FBI, CIA and homeland security, military etc. or are we talking about a few that sneak in dressed as Mexican farm workers right under the the noses of la migra?
I really don't think we are talking about Gengis Khan or something like that. Whatever happens the career people who are paid to concern themselves with that stuff will advise who ever is President and that President will do as they are told.

Depends on the democrat. I would hope none of the candidates - dem, rep or indy - would rush into action before they knew what had happened. My problem with this administration is they fought an unnecessary war in Iraq without a resolution to the necessary war in Afghanistan.

The democratic congress voted in a bill to complete the 911 commission recommendations to protect against terrorism. I suspect they will do just as good of a job, they just won't say the word "terrorist" 95 times in a speech, if you get my meaning.

for one.... democrats won't create more terrorism.
for two... democrats would hold accountable those truly responsible for terrorists attacks against our nation..... IE Bin Laden on 9/11.... this seems to be a fact that many republicans ignore!!!!!
and third... democrats would use not use terrorists alerts and paranoia as a political tool at the current administration has!!!!!

That's a scary thought. Hopefully they have enough wisdom and courage to do what they think is right and not conform to what their party thinks or the republicans, and even what the public thinks.

Same way they did in the 90s, hide their heads and hope the problem will go away.
