Do you think that it is distracting to wear a hat in school?

NO!!!!
Boys wore caps and boaters in the summer
Girls wore bonnets
This headgear was to be worn outside the school building. Inside the school building all hheadgear was to be removed.
Masters and mistresses wore academic gowns, except in labs or workshops.

Well, if it covers your eyes you might not catch much... but seriously speaking, yes it does dictract you and others, especially if the colours are very bright

no it doesn't bother me. but I don't like to wear hats so I don't mind.
