everyone says there is no such thing as a lion-lop! Well i'm here to post that that is not true! My friend ones a bunch and on google images if you type in Lion-Lop rabbits almost all those rabbit pictures will be Lion-Lops.
Just to say lion-lops are a cross breed between the Lionhead and the Lop rabbit. You see they come out with loped ears and a lionheads mane. So I hope there is no more nonsence of the whole "there is no such thing as a Lion-Lop" commotion anymore
Thank you!

Lion-Lops do exist just like puggles and labradoodles, and all the other"designer" dogs. Ther are also designer rabbits.
Lion-Lops are one of those.

I hope there will not be a bunch of "breeders" out there trying to sell this "breed" of rabbit.

At the present time no one has a certificate of developement for Lion-Lops. This is someone working on the breed to get it approved by ARBA. Probably will never happen as they are just mutt-bunnys.

Thrianata are now an approved breed of rabbits. they can be judged and shown at ARBA shows. Lionheads can be judged but not awareded any prizes or points as they are still under developement and have not been approved yet.

I don't doubt lion lops exist. I've seen one at a shelter. BUT they are not an accepted breed of any rabbit breeding organization. You're in the US, so check out the ARBA website to see all the accepted breeds:

And here are the results for trials at the recent 2007 ARBA convention for approving new breeds and new colors for existing breeds:

Lionheads? Yes. Lion lops? No. I have found working breed standards (breed standards in development for an unapproved breed) in the UK, for the BRC. But none that I have found in the US yet. So for now, they are just lionheads crossed with lop breeds, or that's what they have in their recent ancestral history. They are not a recognized breed and can not be considered purebred.

If you want to show rabbits, I recommend you get more information especially on existing breeds. There are a few more being worked on- Velveteen Lops (5 lb english lop with rex fur) and Thriantas (bright red). And you'll see people with them at some shows although they usually won't be judged. But you can't take a lion lop to an ARBA show and get him judged because they don't recognize the breed at all, not even as one in the later stages of development.

It's not a "real" breed any more than those pedigreed mutt dogs are. You know, puggles, labradoodles, shih-poos, schnoodles, etc. They're not real breeds, they can't be shown and aren't recognized by breeding organizations. They're crossbreeds with cute names. That doesn't mean they're not good pets, but they're certainly not breeds you should look at if you want to get into showing.
