Men/women...do you like men to open doors for you and do men think they should or not?

I always hold doors open for people regardless of age, sex, whatever, its just polite, and I always appreciate it when someone does the same.

Yes, I like for them to open the door for me. As a matter of fact, I expect it.

I also expect them to:
Hold the elevator for me
Let females on/off the elevator first
Let me go first if we both have the right of way while driving
Give me their seat if I come in and there are no chairs

Please don't get me wrong - I'm not bitchy. I'm just from the South and this is how men are supposed to treat a woman.

I prefer to open my own doors, but will ALWAYS open the door for a lady unless I know she doesn't want it done for her.

(One annoying thing: If someone is holding the door by leaning on it, don't open it further. It'll knock them off-balance.)

I tend to think the doors should open themselves. Sci-fi movies all have doors like that, but we only get them at retail stores? That's no fun.

yup i like it, and ya i think EVERYONE should, not just men. but if its a guy holding it open for another guy, then i understand that they may not want to

I love when a man does that for me!! Shows respect. But they do not have to, I wont judge them but if they do thats definalty a plus.
