Super Junky Monkey were an all-girl rock/punk band but disbanded after their lead singer died from a fall from a hotel balcony in 1999.

Yes, there is one I know of but I don't know their name. On the Hella (California band) DVD Homeboy/Concentration Face they show footage of a band they played with on a tour in Japan. The girls really rock. That's the only way I know of to get their name, unless they have it on the Hella website for some reason. (maybe a link).
