If it has broken, you can return it to the place you bought it from. They can either give you your money back or send it for repair. That is their decision.

If you return any product after 30 days (items such as game consoles/cameras etc, are excluded from the 30 day money back guarantee, which just means you can't buy it and return it within 30 days like normal items if you decide you don't want it), depending on what options are available these are the possibilities as to what will happen:
1) Your Wii will go for repair, you will not be charged if the repairers say it is a manufacturing default, if they say it isn't you can decide not to have it fixed, but you may be charged a handling fee.
2) You will receive a replacement if there is no repair facility and if there are any instock to replace it with.
3) If the only option is a refund, it will be in Argos gift vouchers as the policy is a refund in these after 30 days.
Hope this helps.

Not sure about getting your money back, though they might refund you if you're lucky. I'm almost certain they'll replace it for you.
I bought a video/dvd player from them about 4 years ago, after 11 months it started chewing up tapes. I took it back to Argos, expecting them to say we'll send for repair, but they replaced it without question with exactly the same model. Another 11 months later exactly the same thing happened so I went back to Argos, again expecting a repair but again they offered to replace it. I opted to pay a bit extra and get a model which recorded to DVD too. 10 months later and the new one wouldn't register any disks at all, I took it back to Argos and they replaced it again.
Because Argos have such a huge market they can force suppliers to meet their terms, which basically seems to be that they replace any product within a year without testing or anything. Its great for the consumer, not so good for the supplier if people take advantage of the Argos policy, as they'd end up with loads of 2nd hand goods.

Argos won't replace it but your wii is covered by a statutory guarantee and the manufacturers are obliged to either repair or replace it.

the 30 day money back guarentee is if you change your mind about wanting it and return it, unused in original packaging with reciept.
the 12 month guarentee is to cover you if it breaks. you are well with in your rights to return it to argos and ask for a new one or a refund (as long as you have reciept otherwise they only have to give you credit vouchers)
argos are pretty good, i took one of my sons toys back about 3 months after i bought it because it broke and there was no questions asked, i was given a new one straight away.
as long as you havent had it chipped or opened it up or done anything to it other than play it as it is intended for you will be fine and will get a refund.

Doubt you'll get your money back now. Probably a replacement or more likely is a repair xx

If it's guaranteed for a year, you should be able to get your money back. Depends on how it got damaged. It's worth a try. Good luck.

You are not going to get a refund
You have had it to long,if its faulty then it can be repaired or exchanged
But if you get another one and it becomes faulty, then you can ask for a refund, but they are not going to refund in cash,it will be in vouchers

you can return it and they will send it off for repair, if it is a manufacturers fault they will fix if they can, if they cant fix they will either replace or give you money/vouchers.
