details on what happened and why I want to contest my ticket. I was making a turn and out of no where a car going very fast appears right on my back I had to accelerate so that the car does not hit me. I was protecting my-self from getting into an accident by speeding up "defensive driving". But just my luck there was a cop right on the next side street. He was not looking and when the cop turns, he sees me slowing down. I was slowing down because I was out of danger and 2 there was a red light in front. He assumed I was speeding, and did not even see the car that was behind me because he went around me and speed away before the cop could see him. I am pretty sure he did not see what happened. At first he was going to let me off but then I said it was my girlfriends car and everything changed.

Go to court, tell your story, question the cop to see if he is consistent in his story (he will go first!) and see if you can introduce reasonable doubt into the situation. If so, voila, the judge will let it go. Otherwise, pay the fine, go to traffic school, and be done with it.

Not a lot there that is useful evidence you did not commit an offense. You did not say what the offense was you were charged with, however your story includes making an improper turn (in front of the car that came out of nowhere) and speeding.

Maybe more details would paint a different picture however your testimony at the moment will not help you.
