I can tell you from my personal experience that very few military people I served with could be even remotely described as "liberal".
The statistics support my observations. There are only about 7% of military personnel who describe themselves as "liberal"

Of course not. But it is likely that most would identify as conservative.
Liberals, by the way enlist in the armed forces for all of the same reasons conservatives do - A job, an education, love of country, sense of duty, sense of adventure. Military service is not a political thing, especially for the young.

No there are plenty of Liberals in the service. Many do not look out at the big propaganda push by the liberal politicions and peaceniks in the US. Most are Proffesionals who still respect the contracts they signed. As well as taking care of their brothers in arms. The reason I love my job is training my junior sailors in the skills they need to survive and succesfully do their jobs.

True Conservative values, best demonstrated by Old Guard Republicans (Jeffersonians), are all about CONSERVING. Racking up trillions of dollars for a war for profit is NOT conservative.
Most American soldiers, and most Americans for that matter, unfortunately have no idea what being a conservative REALLY means (small government, for the people and BY the people).
The current neocon ideology being espoused by both major parties is a hybrid of Communism. If you don't believe me and if you DARE, check it out for yourself:

Ron Paul is a real conservative, and he leads in military contributions:
Ron Paul $40466.72
John McCain $23058.00
Fred Thompson $16748.00
Mitt Romney $8180.00
Rudy Giuliani $6050.00

Bottom line is the American Military is made up of Americans from every walk of life. They have the same percentage of politics, ethnic groups, and gender status as the average percentage of the population.
