I thought it would be a good idea, but then realized (as Fidel Castro pointed out) that food shouldn't be used for fuel as long as there is world hunger. He predicts this could lead to WWIII. Instead, shouldn't we focus on solar- and wind power?
Your thoughts please?

What I heard that surprised me is that corn as a fuel doesn't contain as much energy as gasoline in its octane ratings ...... so consequently you would have to burn more corn to get the same power as gas.

So it too.... in the long run winds up costing the consumer more money. I like the hydrogen fuel cell concept ...... but I'm waiting to see how the big oil companies are going to bollux it up.

Lemme see if I get this, you're agreeing with Fidel Castro? There's world hunger and this country has contests in gluttony and there's no WW3. The most that would happen if you used corn as a fuel is the prices of the corn you eat would go up. But gas prices would go down. Kinda evens out in the end.

1st , why do you care what Castro says, he is a communist dictater? 2nd , corn is the primary source of the ethanol that is mixed with gas to make gasahol. and Solar or wind will neither move loads of goods down the highway. If you want food to eat, clothing , medicine, or anything else at all , you trucks to haul it.
