I adore Italy and have studied art history, so I know what to see. I've been three times and haven't even come close to seeing all I want to see.
I lived in Sweden for a year, but only enjoyed the spring, summer and fall; winter is too dark, long and cold for my taste.
I love Great Britain, too.
I've been all over Europe, so now it's time to visit Asia; Japan in particular. I'm heading over there this spring.
My advice-- never pack more than you can carry comfortably and take as carry-on luggage. Buy toiletries at your destination. Drink bottled water where the supply is questionable (northern Europe is fine), and use it to brush your teeth, too. Don't rinse your mouth in the shower. Take flip-flops to wear in the shower (I can't afford to stay in deluxe places). Peel fruit (wash it first), and order drinks without ice.
Take some toilet paper from home. It seems the farther south you go, the rougher the TP gets! Be sure to take extra prescriptions with you if you lose or use up your medications during your travels.

My favorite place is the Philippine Islands, you can live forever there very inexpensively and, if you live in a safe spot, you have nothing to worry about, ever.

Also love Spain, Mexico, South America, parts of Alabama and Russia too. Have also been to Hong Kong, but did not care for it too much.

I've been to Mexico, St. Thomas, Seychelles, Dubai (U.A.E.), Bahrain, Malta, Spain, Greece (Crete and Thessaloniki), Italy (Sardinia), France (the French Riviera), Barbados, and Brazil (Rio).

My opinion (for what it's worth):
The most beautiful: Seychelles,
The most historical: Malta.
The best nightlife: Malta
The most laid back: Spain
The most beautiful girls: Greece
The best food: Greece
The most disappointing Rio, Brazil

Hello,, I was stationed , while in the Army, in Germany in 1977. The country is very beautiful and charming in its old country charm. Could be the rekindled spirit of an ancient life, but there are some very nice things there. Nuremberg, I love you!!Schwartzenbach, you too!!

Greneda for relaxation.

Nice water / people are friendly . you don't get hustled like you do in St. Thomas. Very quiet / relaxing place to unwind for a few days. I wouldn't stay too long / as it gets boring / not a lot of City life / sophistication.
