I am currently in a management in training position and I had a particularly stressful day last week. I got lost on my way to another one of my stores, argued with a mean convenient store man and then an associate quit. When she quit I just lost it and started crying bc all the days stress got to me. I quickly cleaned up (like literally 2 or 3 minutes and was back on track). The only bad thing is my boss heard me crying and now im thinking maybe she thinks i cant handle the position.
My boss's, boss's boss said I handled it extremely professionally and she was very impressed but im worried about just breaking down && crying like that.

What can I do to get it back on track?

You know a person can handle just so much stress before they break. You did handle it very well somepeople would of just gave up and walked out; but you stuck right with it. You should really be pround of yourself Not everyone would of done what you did. Remeber rome was not built in a day so just live one day at a time and never try doing more then you can. If you start it early they will want you to do more and more.

Just put that behind you and continue to do the best job you can. I imagine when they were in your position they may have had a cry themselves a time or two, and I am sure they were glad that you handled it instead of running to them for help and the fact that you didn't, that you were stressed out, cried to relieve the stress and then got back on track may have showed you were human and not some robot and more valuable to the firm than the robot would be!!

just keep being a good worker.
if no one wouldve seen/heard you cry, then no one wouldve known. i think it shows alot, that you controlled the situation and didnt let it show till you were alone.
everyone has bad days. that shouldnt be something that someone would hold against you.

Relax and take things as they come. Don't cry over the things you can't control.
