Well they will continue to play the "well I'm not THAT type of feminist" to seem like they're somehow "better" than the radicals.
The problem is they're still pitching the same Marxist narrow ideas, so it doesn't matter if they label themselves the "new wave" feminists or any other "wave." It's the same thing with a different wrapper. (Well, besides the first wave... They were actually interested in equal rights & nothing more.)
The only feminists today that are on the level & fight for TRUE equality are the "I"feminists & the "equity feminists."
EDIT: Dao...
Well automobiles are still automobiles. They haven't shape-shifted into the exact opposite of what they started out as.
The feminists of today aren't anything like the feminists that started the movement long ago.
Women already have equal rights. Fighting for special perks for women, PC speech codes & anti-male laws isn't the noble fight some may think.

It depends on which society you are looking as to whether we are "3rd wave" or whatever feminism. In the West, women can achieve anything they set out to do.
In Third World countries, feminism needs to take hold so those women will stop being gang raped and beaten. I know, educating the masses will also help.
But please don't suggest that feminism is obsolete. Nothing could be further from the truth.

No, third-wave feminism is far from over. Some people like to say that we're in a post-feminist area, but I have yet to see substantive proof of this.
EDIT TO MOTRINE2: Say it, girl.

I have to make a comment about the person's above mine comment...Girl, no one can't just be a household wife these days. Cause it may seem real good while he's faithful to you , but he might cheat, and then leave you for some young woman when you get older and are not able to go back to school and work like you could have as being young. So it is a good thing that you are working. You can't depend on anyone these days, including your boyfriend or husband. But self-reliance...seriously, its hard as a full-time student myself. But as a woman, I realize, that I don't want to have a family or be stuck home taking care of kids, but that's my personal ideas, however, it is important to be employed full time.

Are you suggesting that if any group succeeds in achieving any of their goals, they must behave as though they haven't? I guess the concept of adaptability eludes the limits of your awareness. Should we all apply your concept of obsolescence to automobiles? Let's see. How many of the components typically found in auto mechanics thirty years ago are no longer present? Should we then consider the entire concept of automobiles obsolete? If you really want to prove yourself as a man with intelligence, get some first.

Change and improvement is never a bad thing.
Dude, for someone who complains a lot about the feminists, it seems ignorant to then ask why they keep changing.

Personally I wish feminists would shut up. I hate living the way I do. Expected to work a job everyday AND take care of a family. I WANT to stay home with the kids, clean the house, bake cookies and cook home cooked dinners while my husband goes to work. PLEASE!!!???!!!!

They will continue to re-invent themselves, while blaming you for not understanding what in the hell they are trying to accomplish. They don't really understand what they want, but know what they are against, men and religion.
