I have a dream to start a rock band group. All I want to know is how can I recruit the "right" people that are serious enough and stay with the group. I have recruited some before but they all ended up leaving because they thought it was going anywhere. I play guitar and have been playing for about 6 yrs. I want to start a band that will work its way up. Meaning that I'm looking for guitarists, drummers, bassists, keyboard player and singers both male or female that have no problem with first going at it without pay. I want to work on songs that are original and songs that are good for parties, clubs, and all special occasions. I would like to know if there is anyone out there that can help me out in this issue that i am facing. Any advice would be appreciated.

It's up to fate, you can never tell what's in another player's mind, heart, and soul...put a flyer up in the cool record shops and colleges in your town...let them know what you just told us...and the rest is up to fate.

Get musicians with good guitars ( Fender, Gibson, Jackson ), and get a drummer who knows how to keep a constant beat (doesn't speed up, or slow down). Buy a PA system that is at least 400 Watts because anything lower won't be heard over the drums. Get a singer who will " ACT UP ' on stage, too.
