It's been tough to find work, I am 17 years old and I am what some call 'different' looking, or atleast where I live. I have long hair, my septum is peirced, and my ears are gauged pretty big. It's so hard to find a job, everyone looks at me like I'm some psychopath. I am really a nice guy. Of course I take my septum out when I go looking for work, but there's nothing I can do about my ears, and I usually slick my hair back. I don't feel like conforming again, I am happy with my long hair and I am not going to cut it off again. My question, where can I work without anyone caring about my looks? I see people who look worse than I do, and I always wonder where they work. I want a job so bad, I have had two job before but they were seasonal. Can someone point me in somesort of direction?

Maybe someplace that caters to people that are interested in that. Like where they actually sell ear gages or clothes that would fit that persona ; )

You could always try a job where you don't interact with customers directly like a call center or a line cook...you could work in a stock room or a dry cleaner's.....I'm not condoning their discrimination, mind you - but you asked for different jobs.
