The answer depends on the mass of the object and its current motion.
F=ma
your push is the force
current motion is the acceleration effect
mass is the size of the object

It depends on your system. Say the object has wheels. You push in a direction, and the object rolls in that direction. If the object were bolted and unmovable, no matter how much you puch, motion is still 0. Friction problems will look into this if you're in a physics class.
