He wants me to go with him to a football game which is about 130 mi away from home. He says we can spend the nite at a motel and come home the next day.
The problem is he sleeps so much I cannot stand it. Last time I went on a trip with him, he slept from about 10 pm at nite until almost noon the next day. I was sitting in the motel lobby waiting for him to get up.
He goes on and on and on about how tired he is. I personally think he is depressed or sick. I am dreading this trip. Last time I went with him on a trip, he ended up driving out thru the country to small towns which were not even on the map and he did not know the roads and I was afraid he would have a wreck because his driving is terrible and the road signs did not clearly indicate curves and bridges. I would rather just drive back home down the interstate so I can take care of some stuff at home and get my garage ready for winter.
How can I get out of this?

Happy! A fooball game cost too much, and not worth 130 miles driving for! Just tell him to watch it on TV, that's the best thing, then you can go shopping if you like, or go to your Mom's! But don't argue about the trip! Stay COOL! I'm sorry about these Guys wanting to watch games of any sort, It's a waste of my time! I'd whether go to the mall and watch the people there, spending money they don't have! Take care! Jimmy.

Just come right out and tell him that you don't want to go on this trip. You are too busy to go at this time. Maybe we can go some other time. You go and have fun, I'll take care of the stuff that I need to do here.

Good luck.

Just break up with him. Seems like you are not a good fit.

Tell him you are not interested in this trip or in future adventures with him.

You might want to call it quits with him or get used to staying at home the rest of your life.
