Yes! Yes! Yes! It's the only way to dance. Usually it keeps my partner from stepping on my toes. Smooth move if you ask me.

For the past ten years, I've been barefoot everywhere, including when dancing. I don't need to kick off any shoes. I don't worry about glass, my feet are literally tough enough to dance on broken glass -at one dance, there were several glasses broken and the others who weren't regular barefooters put their shoes back on, but I danced all night without even the slightest scratch or splinter or anything. If it's so crowded I have to worry about getting stepped on I usually don't get on the dancefloor anyhow; I'm really short and here in the Netherlands the average people are so very tall... I get elbows in my face if it's that crowded, which I worry about more than about my toes!
