Put hot pepper spice in the seed. The birds wont care and the other critters will leave it alone.

Funny question but those mammals been eating them seeds along with the birds before some dumb bird lover put that print on those bags of bird seed for which that dumb bird lover should have been a animal lover and smart enough to print on the label bird & rodent seeds to feed all and not a selection of certain animals and as long as them squirrels , chipmunks and rabbits are eating the seeds the less they dig & eat up you flower bulbs that you may have.
