It should, unless your alternator is going bad. There are battery chargers that you can plug into your home outlet, then hook up to your battery to charge it. Something is wrong with the electrical system in your car if you have to keep doing this.

It does charge automatically as you drive. If your battery is losing its charge it may be time for a new one, you may also have a bad alternator. Take it to any autoparts store, they'll be able to tell you if the battery and/or alternetor are working properly or need replacement. If in doubt, take it to a second store, two opinions are better than one. If you need a battery get the Duralast Gold from Autozone, I have good personal experience with them and they are rank best battery by Consumer Reports. Plus they offer free emergency jump starts. If you are planning to get rid of the car soon however just get a cheap battery and move on.

It does if the charging system is functioning properly. If your battery requires charging, and you haven't done something such as leaving the lights on causing it to discharge it may mean that the charging system, alternator, is defective or the battery is old and needs to be replaced. If you have caused the battery to loose its charge you can take it to a station and have it charged. If it is completely discharged I do not recommend just jump starting the car and allowing the alternator to recharge the battery. Some systems will actually cause alternator failure by trying to charge a defective battery. Hope this helps.

For most cars, the alternator will keep the battery charged. But if you drive only short distances, particularly in cold weather, or your alternator is failing, you will probably need to charge your battery.
You can get a charger at the parts store for maybe $50.

Your alternator should keep the battery charged, but many people store batteries for the winter out of Recreational vehicles. The may need to be charged up before their next use.

Well it does but sometimes car batteries die out just like flashlight batteries and need to be replaced. Just happened to me.
If you are continually recharging your battery then it's time for a new one. I just paid 40 dollars for a recycled battery. Pretty good considering a new one cost over 100 bucks.

Thats when you leave a light on or something so you can start your car or whatever you need to do, also eventually after a few years like any rechargeable battery, it will lose its charge holding abilitie and you will need to buy a new one.

That's for batteries that are so dead that the car won't start.
