Prejudicial terms are quite strange. If I am attracted to men, am I a f@g?
Why do people find it necessary to use these names on us?
Does it make them feel better about themselves, insulting someone else? What does a person gain from name calling? Why do human beings have a need to name-call groups that are different to themselves?
BTW, f@g is not a bad word. It means cigarette. (Have to use the @, so that the system does not blank it out, lol)
Okay, it is a bad word, but that is because cigarettes are bad. Had my little anti-smoking rant...
How did I, by being attracted to men, become a cigarette?
"I'm a f@g so:
Light my fire!
Hold my butt!
S*ck me!
Smokin'!"

Great little rime! The origin of calling us the f word comes from the fact that a f***t was a bundle of sticks used to burn us and others at the stake. The christians used them because they made a hotter fire than logs and they thought it was compassionate. Like George Bush thinks he is a compassionate conservative while he goes about killing thousands for oil.You figure! But then if christians are experts in anything it's fuzzy thinking.

I have noted that f@g gets the *** treatment, queer does not, yahoo answers seems to recognise abuse in American, but not in English, are they discriminating against us English?
As for what you call me, use whatever word you like, after all some of them are factual, I do lift or have had my shirt lifted, I actually prefer queer to the rather prissy and twee 'gay', not to keen on homo, feel it is a bit scientific.
In truth I am a great believer in adopting the word your abuses uses, take ownership of it, that way it is no longer their insult, it becomes my pride, they have to keep thinking up new insults, fortunately, they lack the intellect to do so, in the end they just ferk off and live you alone.

I always heard the term came from the old witch trials and whatnot, but that's probably just a myth.
I know what you mean, though. People are such morons.
