I read everywhere that Chad is a No. 1 WR, but in my league he's averaging less points than TEs like Clark and Gates. In my league, we reward 7 pts per TD, and 5 per 100 yards. So my question is:

If you're not in a PPR league, is Chad Johnson worth anything? Are people expecting more from him, or is it just my league's lack of PPR makes him less desirable? Or am I missing something?

Our point system is as follows:

Receiving Yards -
0 - 19 = 0 points
20 - 39 = 1 point
40 - 59 = 2 points
60 - 79 = 3 points
80 - 99 = 4 points
100 - 119 = 5 points
120 - 139 = 6 points

Receiving TD -
7 points, plus 7 points for a ReTD of 40 to 100 Yds

As an aside, in my league, Johnson has less points than names like: Braylon Edwards, Kevin Curtis, Wes Welker, Joey Galloway, and Patrick Crayton.

Then, I will amend the question to ask - under what scoring systems are you used to seeing Chad do well?

he is he is just not producing right now.. not everyone produces like randy moss and the year he is having...

usually having 7 or 8 tds for the year and just cracking 1000 yards rushing oir receiving is pretty good...

not everyone is elite. and when you are slightly above average its big.

Yes, you are missing something. First, you are missing the fact that your league does the points differently than most leagues. You're also missing the fact that he has had around 1300 yards and at least 7 touchdowns every year for the past four seasons. What other receiver has done that? None. And the season is not even half over yet. PPR has nothing to do with it.

Because he is still an elite fantasy WR. He is like 6th in Yahoo based on fantasy points. Better than T.O., Braylon Edward, Wes Welker, L. Coles, Reggie Wayne, Dwayne Bowe, etc.

Points are what matters in fantasy sports, not attitude or reputation.
