Currently, Lois and Clark are married so she loves both him and Superman. However in most instances, she loved Superman first. Clark was more of an annoyance to her.

Wow, that's a good question, however, I cannot answer because I am a dude, in fact, I'm rather curious in finding out the answer myself. Ah what the heck, I'll wing it and say that women prefer someone who can "handle" them, and in society, the Clark kent in the story, isn't quite the same matching description of the modern Clark Kent in real life society I'd think. Most people that would actually fit the description of Clark Kent (being shy, sensitive, inexperienced etc.) are also met with some issues, probably a criminal record, or have a part of their life they would not want to reveal, not something dark, but perhaps embarrassing, so they decide to just separate themselves by choice. Regardless, Though Clark Kent, a man willing, is not quite able which I think turns women off alot, this which can also lead to alienation, being ignored, tossed aside, or left alone ( A fate I am too familiar with) Even if he wasn't a human looking alien warrior from another planet. As for the Superman, that's tricky, because, clearly he is someone more able than willing to approach women, he is on somewhat a higher standard level of society, I mean, I bet you there's probably some part in Superman's life when he was invited to a special party where only the rich and super powerful (Politically) were allowed to attend. Do you think Clark Kent would've been accepted into such a gathering being how he is? Me neither. However, for Superman, woman are a second language. A language he perhaps flunk in Krypton Junior High School, and had to repeat a second term and still flunk, so... You get the idea. However, this doesn't mean he isn't a chick magnet, sure all those muscles will grant him a VIP pass to luxurious scenes a Victoria secret would crave for, but this is not just a man, this is Superman, In today's society, we also associate a Superman with this person who is "Larger than life" Or having the most strengths in certain criteria perhaps, more than just one area of expertise, so he becomes more glorified and praised than the average Joe, look at NBA stars for example, Before Dwight Howard, Shaquille O' Neal was denounced the Superman of Basketball, (even the lids look up to the man) now somebody much younger has taken the mantle Dwight Howard, and when you see the man play, you can see why they call him that (Especially during the dunk contest) In fact, alot of athletes are considered to be these "Superior figures of ideology", in fact, it's everywhere, I'm not going to sugarcoat it, you can see it on the Internet, in all of Sports, The Entertainment industry, in any place where competition can be dominated car show events for example (Look at the woman there, and you tell me what man they prefer, the guy with the Hummer H2, or the teen in a prius). However, you look into the backgrounds of these people, most of them aren't even smart, didn't earn the merit they have, but regardless, they own the place, therefore, they can either open it up for business, or keep it closed for their own; Sometimes they do what they must because they have to, not with any intentions, but inclined sense of duty, which is not bad, but it can jeopardize one's life. Also Superman is occupied to not only help Lois. This is what makes him more valuable to women, the fact that he has the abilities, and the willingness to do what he does, stopping crime, fighting evildoers, and saving lives. Once he finishes this for the day, he is still met with more left over issues, maybe at home, with his family, or there'll still be some unfinished problem lingering around. In real life, some women have that kind of man for a husband and don't actually like it, Even George Clooney has his break - ups, But I think that all women want the man they think is perfect in their own way, not Perfect in THE precise definition, but perfect for her. Sometimes in this sense, it's the Clark Kent that is actually the better man for the woman, because that is what she needs, a man right for her. Or then again, it's the Superman ... Yeah, the Superman.

She was originally attracted to Superman! That's because she was a news reporter and impressed with his superhero status! In time, Lois eventually learned to appreciate Clark Kent. That's mostly because he was a colleague of hers. She was somewhat two faced in the series and movies regarding them.

In current continuity, they got married only after Clark had won her love as Clark, not Superman. After she had accepted his proposal, he finally revealed is secret to her, safe in the knowledge that she loved him as Clark and not as Superman. So, basically, she got over her crush on Superman and fell truly in love with Clark, but she now accepts that they're the same person.
