In theory, five days before your missed period provided that it's an early results test. A regular test, you can expect the results to be accurate when your period is late. However, since there is about a 6 day window of variability for when implantation could have occured (and thus when your body started producing hCG), and you never know if you ovulated later than usual in a given month (and thus your period would have been later than expected), you won't necessarily get accurate results by then. The longer you can wait after your period was due, the better. And remember, a positive means you're pregnant, but a negative (esp. if you test on the early side) doesn't necessarily mean you aren't. It could mean your body just hasn't produced enough hCG yet.

I am just 9 weeks and I took the ClearBlue Easy Digital test when my period was just 3 days late. I think that you can take that test as soon as the 1st day your period is late. Hope this helps you, good luck

Once you're late for your period. No sooner. I dont care what they advertise, those 4-5 day early tests are only barely 50% accurate.

According to some manufacturers like first response as early as 5 days after conception but that depends upon your hormone levels. for absolute accuracy I would wait 24-48hrs after you've missed your period. This was the advice my mother in law gave me. She used to be an OB/GYN nurse

they say the first day of your missed period, but i say wait at least three days, up to a week. i waited a couple days after i missed mine, and it came out positive. i did one before i missed, and it came out negative.
