Ok so were planning on moving out in January. This is what i have come up with so far..
Bills
-Cell Phones $80
-Truck Insurance $200

Gas for truck $160
Groceries $120
Rent - Up to $700
-----------------------------
$1260 = $630 per person.
But thats just basic.
Right now I work 24 hours a week making 6.95, But also thats just basic I usually work more than that. And I'm a Waitress so I make alot of tips so I can make my half easy.
My boyfriend has a full time job getting 40 hours a week at 8.00. So he can easily afford it to.
We already have some furniture, and pots and pans and all that.

So is there anything I am forgetting? I live in Ontario by the way.

Alot of apartments down here are all inclusive so heat and elcetrictiy won't be a problem b/c it will be included in rent.
Both of our schooling is already paid for so thats not a problem either.

Groceries may be a little low. When looking at places check to see what utilities they pay. Most places pay everything except electricity/internet/phone. Then you should plan to put away a little each month in case the truck breaks down, or other things come up.

Your income is about $2500 your take home around $1570 a month. Lets look at expenses
Rent $700
Cell 80
Insurance 200
Groceries (sorry 120 a month will not do it thats 30 a week) 300 and that is conservative
Electric 100
Cable 40
Internet 40
Heat 150-200
This puts you at a negative 40 already and does not include any medical, car repairs, going out once in awhile, or any social life whatsoever. Really thing you need to first increase your income in order to make this work, without problems, and stress

You didn't budget the little stuff like dish soap, towel, washcloths, soap, shampoo, hair stuff, toothpaste. And the biggie Toilet paper. Plus cleaning supplies, laundry expenses if the unit doesn't come with a washer and dryer where will you wash? how much will it cost? plus laundry soap. Make a list of everything you use daily from the time you get up until you go to bed. and budget for that.

Are you moving out or moving in? In my area you have to make $50, 000 a year just to get by. I pay $1700 in rent! With the jobs you two have it sounds like you should probably forget moving in together and get educations and better jobs.

What you have there seems about right. Do you you have money set aside for medical bills? Do you have any type of savings set aside In case one of you gets sick and can't work? Is the truck payed off or are you still making payments? do you have money set aside for car repair? Have you calculated in money for entertainment purposes(movies, etc.)?

You are forgetting your savings and education (if any) and also entertainment, shopping.

I make 4 times more than you and work double as much and cannot even imagine moving out right now! Brave girl!
