Yes, you want to make sure you are as healthy as possible before you get pregnant since you end up being pregnant for 2-3 weeks before you even know. This is especially true for the folic acid in the vitamins, it's very important to have that from the moment you conceive.

The vitamins are designed for pregnancy so are effective for you now but will be even more effective once you are pregnant. They will help make your body will be healthy when it passes on genes and when it starts developing the baby. You do not have to wait until you pass a pregnancy test to start taking the vitamins. It would also be good to avoid anything addictive like nicotine and alcohol, drink plenty of water, exercise, read, do puzzles, or anything else to stir the brain other than TV.

Definitely take them before, it gives the egg a better chance to start growing into a healthy fetus, reduces miscarriage and all the extra folic acid can help your chances of the baby developing right. Most birth defects are caused when there is not enough folic acid at the time of conception. Most women have enough naturally but you always want to give your child a head start right? So the more the better.
Plus it will get you in the routine!!!
Good luck!

Definately, because by the time you find out you are pregnant your miracle could already be 3,4,5 weeks along. It is best to cover all your bases! Early pregnancy is when those vitamins are needed the most.
Good Luck

YES, it's best to so you are in top health and you need to folic acid to help your babies spin grow normally. when i got pregnant with my son though i didn't know i was pregnant until after my missed period and he is 15 months now and perfectly healthy. but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't start taking them. i take meijer brand, it's the best price and my DR says they are just as good as the more expensive ones.

Yes, they contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that are important not only for pregnancy, but also for conception. Some of the important ones are folic acid, calcium, the B group vitamins, and iron.
