I started leaking around 20 weeks, was babysitting my sisters newborn everyday, weird thing is now that i dont watch the baby anymore (i am 31 weeks) i dont leak anymore. I can still get some out if i wanted too but ummm i dont. It is different for every women but i hear you do not usually leak untill the end like 8 months or so.
Also i was verrrrry leaky at first then it slowed, i only had to use breast pads for a few weeks.
Good luck.

Usually you do not start leaking until toward the END of your pregnancy, but every woman's body is different. I started leaking around 7 months with both pregancies and the only time it was really noticeable was when I took my bra off. Other than that, I can only remember wearing a nursing pad one one time.
Your breasts are going to be swollen and tender, this is normal. You may or not leak. I wouldnt be too concerned though. Good luck!

DId you know, that women actually don't get any breat milk until AFTER the baby is born? It is a common misunderstanding.
However, some women get a thick, pre-milk, protein based substance called Colostrum. Many first time mothers do not notice this until the last few weeks of pregnancy. Do NOT force it, or try to express any of it. This could lead to infection. It typically doesnt leak, and is very small in amount. The actual milk comes in about 3 days after the baby is born.

i didnt leak with my son, or with this pregnancy (im 26 weeks). You can express some pre-colostrum, but it doesnt just leak out. The only time I started to leak was about 3 days after my son was born. My breasts were sooooo engorged, and hurt soo bad, they would leak all over everything, to the point I had nursing pads on, and then had to put ice packs in my bra!

With my first pregnancy I didn't leak at all with my second I started leaking around 30 weeks. It wasn't bad enough that I did anything. But everyone is different. Hopefully it won't happen to you until after the baby is born

Not everyone pregnant woman will experience leaking breasts during pregnancy. You might not leak at all until after your baby is born, and in subsequent pregnancies you might leak, it's not the same for every woman

Everyone is different. I think 16 wks is extremely (unheard of lol) early. But if it happened to your mom then of course it's possible. I'm 25 wks today and I still haven't started to leak. I think most people don't start until right before or right after they have the baby...but like I said everyone is different. God bless you and congrats on your pregnancy!
