my mom is a hiippee too!!! OMG i am totally embarresd too!!! we need to tottaly hang, shop, ya know boy stuff!!!

Accept your Mom for the person that she is. As long as she is a good parent, and she is happy in life does it really matter?
There are far worse things in life to worry about. Rather than be embarressed by your Mom, you should feel proud of her for giving you a good home, emotional warmth and love.
Not all children have parents. Some live in children's homes and some children lead pretty miserable life's because at a young age they have to look after their parents.
So what if your Mom is a hippy? Being a hippy is about love and joy, and above all PEACE.

Be who you are. After all these years, your mom is never going to change. That would be like me saying "My grandma's a flapper!" Meaning she hung out with gangsters and drank bathtub gin! You need to get smart, get a college education and move on out. Good Luck!

She is living her life as she wants to. How you live yours, is up to you. Try changing your attitude, be glad she's got a life,that she is happy in. She is not in to conforming to how others thinks she should be. A free spirit is refreshing in a world where many are clones of their friends or neighbors.

lol umm.. embrace her! she is your mother. Yes unfortunately some people get "stuck in the past" why? because these were some of the best years they ever lived. You will be grown and out of the house before you know it. One day you will look back and laugh so hard you will cry and pee your pants at the same time!!!
