That you know of, is there a presidential candidate that opposes: marijuana, pornography, prostitution, and homelessness, and supports: the environment/safe climate act, gay marriage (or civil unions)? The war, immigration, and taxes are not included, therefore it doesn't matter what your choice is in regards to those three issues.

Does anyone know of a website that has something that you can input what issues you're pro and con on and it will search for a presidential candidate that matches? Something please!

Thank youuu!!!

By pornography, I mean internet pornagraphy. There was a candidate who made it clear that he wanted to ban it (I don't remember who it was though). And by opposing homelessness, I mean getting rid of people that are homeless. Like, putting up a shelter at least

To ThomasS, I never ever said those issues weren't important to me. Honestly, you shouldn't act so naive and assume. I'm merely looking for these key issues at the moment, and taxes, immigration and the war on Iraq are not included. It has absolutely nothing to do with how I am voting.

You seriously vote based on pet issues, issues you can never have solved for you by piling them onto one person. One person that you hope won't turn their back on you once you vote. Naive.

Yet you leave out some of the most important issues facing our country? "The war, immigration, and taxes are not included, therefore it doesn't matter what your choice is in regards to those three issues."

If this is a question that makes one think before answering, I applaud you. If you are serious, God help us. But to answer your question just in case, it would probably be Joe Biden.

EDIT: Gotcha, I'm glad - and sorry for jumping the gun. I just see so many fools on here, that just irk me to no end.

I don't know if there is a person on Earth that is not opposed to homelessness. As far as prostitution goes, it is not a federal offense to be a prostitute. Thats why the FBI doesn't do prostitution stings. Pornography and gay marriage (or straight marriage for that matter) are none of the government's business. Adults that live in a free country may make their own minds up about pornography.

Here are some links to "tools" to help you focus in on some specific candidates. Promise me you will only use them to focus your interest and not to make a decision for you. Also, be aware that some of these may be put up by people with an agenda. I did not vet them. Beware and always know who you are getting your information from. My rule of thumb: Don't believe anything that a candidate or his supporters say about him or his opponent. That information is worthless. Look at their past record. They cannot take that back.

A candidate that opposes pornography? Hah, good luck with that.

Here's a site that breaks down the candidates and their voting records:
http://www.issues2000.org/default.htm

I don't think the sites "VoteMatch" results are good indicators but they other info is good.

Dennis Kucinich matches your list.

You could try going to www.ontheissues.org also. It shows were each candidate stands on each issue that you click on.

Just out of curiousity: how does one "oppose" homelessness? And by "pornography," do you mean "Playboy?"

They don't really support anything anymore.
