First the calculation in the parentheses first followed by exponential and then Multiplication & division and lastly addition & subtraction.

6 X 42 + 6 - ( 5 + 10) =
6 X 42 + 6 - (15) =
6 X 42 + 6 - 15 =
252 + 6 -15 =
258 -15 =
243

Do the parenthesis first
6x42+6-15

Then just follow the sentence. Multiply 6 with 42 (6x42=252). Add 6 (252+6=258). Then subtract the 15 (258-15=243).

The answer is 243

P(paranthesis) E(exponent) M(multiplication) D(division) A(addition) S(subtraction)
for multiplication and division
and addition and subtraction you can switch go from left to right
so
step one write out the question: 6 *42 + 6 - (5+10)
2) do parenthesis sow you get 5+10= 15
new equation is now 6 times 42 plus 6 minus 15
3) multiply 6 by 42 and you get 252
now yo have 252 plus 6 minus 15
4) now just go straight across 252 plus 6 = 258 then minus 15 and yo uget 243

6 x 42 + 6 - (5 + 10)
1st do ( inside the brackets)
6 x 42 + 6 - 15
Next Do the multiplication (NB Multiplication/Division take precedence over Addition/Subtraction.

252 + 6 -15

Finally, do the addition/subtraction.
= 243.

u have to do the parenthesis first
so it would be

6 x 42 + 6 - 5- 10

then the multiplication:

252 + 6 -5 -10

then the addition:
258 -5 - 10

then the subtration:
-5-10= -15

258-15= 243

do what is in parentheses first--PEMDAS

6 × 42 + 6 - (5 + 10)
6 × 42 + 6 -15
multipy next--from PEMDAS
252+6-15
258-15
243

ps--PEMDAS is the order of operations
Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division (do whatever comes first--either mutliplication or Division), and Addition Subtraction (which could be interchangable)

use BODMAS (brakets, of, division, multiplication, addition, subtracting)

...6x42+6-(5+10)
=6x42+6-15
=252+6-15
