Bob G...Yes, you were the inspiration for this question but the ten years I mentioned was just a round number that I threw in there.

Women will do the laundry for us, but they won't remember what happened in the 1997 World Series for us.

First of all, I've been the domesticated one in all my relationships. Secondly, I don't wear "undies". Shorts sometimes. Commando most of the time. But I definitely know where the hamper and the games are.

Just don't ask where my keys or anything else is! LOL

Because they are guys....my ex-husband couldn't remember the recipe for ice cubes. He would put the empty ice cube trays back in the freezer. I once said to him, "If you cannot remember the recipe for ice, why do you put the empty trays back in the freezer so I think we have ice when we don't?" His answer; "I was keeping them cold so the water will freeze faster when you fill them up." However (he was a world champion skeet shooter) he could remember what he shot in each gage in a competition back in 1979!! Go figure!

It was seven years ago and guys do remember where to put their dirty underwear. The dog is the one that drags them back out to the middle of the floor.

pssssst....

I've got a secret for you....

My wife figured out how to fix this problem about a month into our marriage. My socks & undies fell on the floor wherever they were, and we had to do our laundry at a laundromat. One day I asked where my socks were, and she said, "were they in the hamper?"

From that day forward, they were.

Obviously she wasn't going to pick them up on laundry day, and I could either go without or (more likely) wash out what I needed by hand. :P

I just put my dirty undies with my copies of the Baseball Encyclopaedia.

It's way more important to remember what happened in important games that to fret over where my underwear went. I can always buy new underwear, but can't buy the memory of a great game.

Why is everything blamed on the dog?

I think someone's going to have a yellow stain on their pillow tonight.

Ten years ago? I can't remember what happened ten minutes ago. :-x

We can remember both. We just don't much care about the latter.

(FWIW, I'm the primary laundry-doer in this homestead.)
