Same response as the previous. Mexicans have so much been in denial of who they are. During the post 1910 revolution, mexicans, with the encouragement of artists, embraced Mayan and Aztec indigenous identity at the expense of their own. Unfortunatley, the Chicano Movement did the same in the early 70's that has now evolved into a new age movement that has led to more confusion than clarity. Mexicans have their respective indigenous orgins at hands reach, but choose to relegate their indigenous peoples at the lowest rungs of their socio economic ladders. How much white privilege are you looking for? The more you move away from your indigenous identity the more you try to become what you will never be. American, mexican, mexican -american, mestizo, latino, hispanic are attempts to escape or move away from what makes you part of your people, people of the land, indigenous people, not the artificial, insensitive self centered westerner and all its neophytes.

Mexican per se, are humans like you and me. But if you're asking about how they are as a people, well each race have their own culture, traditions and ways. We are all diverse, quirky, special in our own way. I hope you're not trying to get some negative answers here because it's not a good thing to start. People have different opinions with every individual they meet.

In what context? Just as a people? Very interesting. Like to tease, poke fun. Think of legions of mexicans entering this country illegally? It puts a drain on this country's resources, maybe not now, but in the future.

I think of individuals of Mexican heritage like any other persons of the world... People we can learn something from.

They are no different from you or I except that they have different traditions and a different language, they have different (but tasty foods) and sometimes a different dress.

So what! They still have a skeletal structure, they still have skin and they still bleed. In case anyone has forgotten, they are also human beings.

Embrace them and learn from them.

I think most of them work their butts off and tend to have close knit families. The Mexicans that are here for the most part are just trying to make a decent life for themselves and their families.

Hard working people just like us. They are coming home, California, Arizona and Texas rightfully belong to Mexico. They were just as wrongfully ceased as Poland was by Germany in 1939.

Technically, I don't know any. My "knowledge" of their country is all negative, but that's mainly due to willful ignorance on my part.

I do know people of Mexican descent. I like some and don't like others. My husband is one that I do like.

The one thing I can state unequivocably about the majority of them is that they have a nice year-round tan and black hair.

I think most of them are just as good as I am. I just wnt anyone who comes here to respect our culture and out country. I have worked with several Mexican people and found them to be friendly, hard working, and family oriented.

They are the original inhabitants of Mexico, having long history and culture ( Maya) and finally conquered by Spain.
