June of 2006 the State House passed SB 1090 which will give Pennsylvania's lowest paid workers a raise. The bill takes Pennsylvania's minimum wage to $6.25 on January 1, 2007 and then to $7.15 by July 1, 2007.

See here http://www.dli.state.pa.us/landi/cwp/view.asp?A=142&Q=61106 It is currently $7.15.

An employer with the equivalent of 10 or less fulltime
employees may pay a minimum wage rate according to the following schedule:
$6.65 per hour Effective July 1, 2007
$7.15 per hour Effective July 1, 2008
$7.25 per hour Effective July 24, 2009

Additionally, full time students can be paid 85% of the current minimum wage. See http://www.dli.state.pa.us/landi/lib/landi/laborlaw/pdf/llc-1.pdf for the poster.

Im under the impression that theres an incremental increas to the minimum wage.
that will end up being 7.50 over time.

I think currently its 6.25 or somethign similiar.

====
$5.85 per hour beginning July 24, 2007, $6.55 per hour beginning July 24, 2008, and $7.25 per hour beginning July 24, 2009.
