My favourite one is " Hable con ella " ( Talk to her), it is quite shocking!! The first time I saw it I was speechless! It is really difficult to choose, all his films are great even though I understand some people might not like them!!
"Volver", "Carne Trémula" or "Todo sobre mi madre" are also amazing. Without a doubt Pedro is the best film director we have in Spain right now, in his films he is able to transmit the Spanish way of life, showing how is living in big cities like Madrid or Barcelona or in small inland and religious towns. He also understand women in such a good way!!

Wow.
I liked but was disturbed by Bad Education/Mala Educacion.
It was raw, honest, scarey, sad, disturbing, real, suspenseful, engaging, had great writing (even thought I had to read the subtitles).
But, I loved Volver!!!! Could see it again and again. I loved the idea of her starting her life over and communicating with her "dead" mother. Again, great writing, acting (I think this was Penelope Cruz's best movie ever), loved the twist and surreal yet real experiences.
