If you have a small dremel with a sanding bit. go along the edges of all the pockets and seams. Or if you don't, use sand paper by hand ( takes forever!!).

My jeans are getting pretty distressing.
Time to wash 'em` again!

Take them to a deserted dirt road and run over them with your car.
