your mother or father?
I am closer to my mother. We are not just mother and daughter we are also good friends.

You know Ive noticed that many guys are closer to their mother
and the girls are closer to their father

weird right
but thats how it is with my family
like my whole entire family (aunts uncles etc.)
anyways
I am closer to my mom
i tell her everything and i joke around with her more than with my dad
well theres like this lack of communication between my dad and I

I would have have to say my mother. Much like you and your mother, we are also very good friends. She still worries about me like a mother but there are many things that we can just talk about, openly like friends do. I love my dad but he has some problems. If he ever wants to address them in his life then I think that would be great. If not, then I will always love him as he is my father.

My mother, like you.
It's easier to be closer to your mother as a female, because you can look up to her as a woman.. you can learn from her, you can relate to her and the chances are she one day went through the same things you did. She is like a good friend who loves you unconditionally and you can be comfortable around.. I love my Mum!

I was close to my father as mother had died during my childhood, (at 08). Father was everything to me. I discussed each; and every thing with him. He was my freind, my father, my mother and a alot. I lost him in 2001 due to his sudden illness. But i use to treat with same behviour to my 04 years old son and trying to be his friend as my father was wtih me.

I was much closer to my mom. But she died 6 yrs ago, and since then, my dad and I have developed a closer relationship. So something good came out from her death.

mother i guess but recently i couldn't say that one of my parents are closer to me. maybe i just spend not enough time with them. i really regret about this, but kids grow up and their interests always go out of the family stuff. so, maybe this is why i can not identify the closest family member.

Insha'Allah, my family is now my daughter and we are very close. She is a true blessing from Allah (swt) for which I give thanks at each salaah and with dua throughout the day. Alhumdulillah!
