If tylenol doesn't work, you need to talk to your doctor

I go through that a lot... And I too was dependent on Excedrin... Which is not good... Tylenol doesn't seem to help me either... What I do to relieve the pain is take a shower... Close my eyes and rub the back of my neck... Try massaging your scalp longer than you would usually do while showering... After you shower... Lay down in a quiet room... Just close your eyes... (Try putting a cold cloth over your eyes) That should help out... Works for me every time... When my boyfriend gets home... and it's a headache day... I have him massage my back and neck... Hope it works for you...

I feel you I've had a couple of really bad headaches that lasted for days at a time, all I did was take the tylenol as directed and try to rest more.

I had these headaches but maybe not as severe as yours- beofre I knew I was pregnant I too was taking Excedrin. I told my doctor Tylenol extra strength or otherwise wasn't working (it was liking taking candy) and of course it wasn't working when I was taking Excedrin. She prescribed Tylenol 3 (Tylenol & Codeine) and it has worked. Also drink lots and lots of water because dehydration can cause these headaches as well. Since I've been taking Tylenol 3 my headaches come less frequently and I take my meds as soon as I feel it comingo n

I just recovered from 6 months of migraines by taking Flax seed oil and evening primrose oil. It's worth looking into.

"If you're not getting enough EFA's (Essential Fatty Acids) then your nutrition is incomplete. Lack of proper nutrition can cause body systems to function improperly, e.g., cause problems, pain, etc. For example, I suffered with frequent migraine headaches for 10+ years. These headaches sometimes occurred as often as once a week and could last three days. I haven't had a headache, any type of headache, in eight months since supplementing with EFA's. I used to catch colds, including the flu, about four times a year. I haven't been sick at all since taking EFA's. Actually, I haven't been sick for a year and I've never had a flu shot. Also, I just plain feel great!"

This happened to me 2x during this pregnancy, I had headaches that lasted for 2 days each. I took Tylenol and it didn't help either. It's just one more thing we have to deal with.

Talk to your Dr but it could be sinus...turn your shower on super hot (DON'T GET IN IT) but let your bathroom get all steamy and sit in there for 20-30 minutes. Also, like I said ask your Dr but you can take up to 1000 mg tylenol at a time (I take 1500 mg but I get migraines - and yes my Dr knows that)

Also try to drink some water, put a cold pack on your head and lay in a dark room....

Good luck.

Talk to your doctor. It could be normal, but it could also be a sign of gestational diabetes or pre-eclampsia. Better safe than sorry, and he might be able to give you some anti-headache advice!

my guess it that you are in your second trimester. this is so common. when i get headaches i use my index finger and my thumb and sqeeze the pressure point on my opposite hand. your pressure point in the area between your index finger and your thumb where the skin is a little webbed. it takes the pressure off of your head and puts it onto your hand, but your hand can take more pressure than your head. try this!
