Good question, it's a puzzling trend, in many nations around the globe? Now , in this case you mentioned US, which heavy influence by tne corrupt media plays a major role. The Administration has also utilized some intimidation and fear !!?? Which is often used by the puppet leaders in the world !!?? How ever resent events in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, which the majority of people are against the puppet Govs. are manifest to a change, growing stronger day after day. Best Regards.

Because the neocons have shrewdly and effectively used the terrorist threat as a fearmongering tool to keep enough Americans in line.

Just read the comments on here from their supporters and you can tell that most of them are so scared that they probably wet their pants daily and will essentially do whatever the neocons say, even if it means living in perpetual fear and smelling like piss all the time.

And sadly to say, there are just enough of them to tip the balance in our electoral system.
