Sweetie...you need to calm down. You can't be panicked for your whole pregnancy. THAT isn't good for your baby!

Read a book on pregnancy, like What to Expect When You're Expecting or Pregancy for Dummies (actually a VERY useful book). That will answer a lot of your questions & ease your mind. And take a nice warm shower to soothe you; you need some good old R&R! :)

I really wouldn't be worried about steak...it is more of a concern with chicken. A lot of people eat medium-rare or ever rare steaks wile pregnant! I used to love very well done steaks and now I prefer them much less well done...I asked my doctor and he saw no real concern! I should be fine so just try and relax...easier said than done, I understand!! I am 15 weeks too and I seem to stress about nearly everything! Good luck!

NO you're going to be fine. They recommend you don't eat Rare or RAW meat while pregnant because you can get food poisoning (which is true regardless of pregnancy - but dangerous for baby while pregnant)

And you don't need to eat well-done....medium to med-well will be fine. Steak especially because all the microbes will be on the surface...poultry, fish & ground meat have bacteria running all the way through it which is why they should be cooked well done.

Congrats on your baby.

Read "A Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy". It is a great book, better than "What to Expect When Expecting." I purchased both and have also had 3 pregnancies.

You will be completely fine. Also, I had this friend (ex-friend now, I didn't agree with her choices in life), that tried everything to have a home abortion. Narcotics, castor oil, whiskey, pot, getting hit in the stomach, etc.

She had birth to a beautiful, healthy, intelligent baby girl with no birth defects. I am not sure how that happened, but i tell you what, the steak is nothing compared to that.

No, you'll be fine. Like someone else said its chicken you have to worry about, but also pork and fish. Ask your doctor, he will tell you what you can eat and what you should stay clear of. My doctor even told me that nothing rare or medium rare, so if it was just medium, I'm pretty sure you're allowed to eat that. I hope I helped.

you know for thousands of years pregnant women have been having babies with out someone telling them what they can and can not do i know there are reasons for the alerts but i really don't think once of anything is reason for mom to be get panicked now if you have symptoms that say something is up then worry but don't just worry because you did something once that doctors say is a no no during pregnancy try your best not to do it again and go on. .. the reason for no rare or raw meat is due to food poisoning which is dangerous for baby i got food poisoning from a banquet pot pie it was mild (i only ate a tiny bit it tasted off) but i got to spend a day in the hospital me and baby hooked to monitors and three IVs of fluid to get me re-hydrated. just telling you this because it shows you can be careful and still end up sick. and worrying about it all the time will make you sick

i'm 18 weeks and function not felt the toddler flow yet. maximum females people do not probably sense it till now and returned in the 18 to twenty weeks. My wager is what you have been feeling earlier grow to be in all probability gas. =) attempt to not trouble plenty. you'll be chuffed you have not had the different indicators. the only element that has made me sense like i grow to be pregnant is the consistent queasiness and puking... plus loopy hormones. i might like to not sense pregnant for some days! =)

you are completly fine.
Plently of people eat their steak more rare than that while pregnant and nothing happens its just a precaution.
I ate really rare prime rib while I was pregnant not knowing that people were making a big deal about it. i talked to my doctor about it and he said it was fine. Eat whatever I want just not imported cheese, too many carrots, and too much fish.

Steak is fine. As the other poster said under cooked chicken can be a problem. So can under cooked pork and raw fish.

relax...you're doing fine
