I'm moving to Richmond, VA within the next two weeks, and will be living around the Short Pump area. Can anyone recommend a good bank in the area?

The Short Pump area of Henrico is very busy. Just about any bank in the region has a branch in the area.

Wachovia is one of the most populous banks in the area. There is a branch almost everywhere. But, they have their strict rules and regulations and won't let you get by if you make a mistake.

If you qualify for membership, become a member of the Virginia Credit Union. I got a car loan from them in 2005. I shopped around and they had the lowest rate available, plus they allow me to split the loan payment with an automatic withdrawal twice a month.

Good luck. I hope that you enjoy living in the Richmond area!

I've been with Bank of America for 25 years and there are branches in Richmond. Are you going to be transferring funds from your bank or starting a completely new account. You might want to see if there any branches of your current bank in the area.

They're both among the most violent cities, not that that's too bad because there's still different areas. Accents in northern MO would probably be more different than your accent than they would be in Richmond area, VA.
