Fish is very rebellious and will not stay clean. It's an angry fish and doesn't want anyone to clean it. It will clean itself when it wants to be clean and not when someone else decides. What would you do?

Great answers. Nancy J you are right even though this was a metaphor. The slim on the outside of a fish is for protection and taking it off may kill it does still apply even though I wasn't speaking literally about a fish. Annie D your answer was really good too. You understand the question.

spartawo, though you took it literally giving a fish a new clean enviroment and it will self clean is a good answer too.

I would let it go free. There's no point is arguing with a fish that isn't ready to be clean. It has to WANT to be clean. ;-)

Is this a pet fish? If so, scoop the fish up into another bowl of water (non chlorinated) and clean the fish bowl (no soap) then replace the fish into the new, clean, water bowl.
The fish will do its own self cleaning and be happy.

I'm thinking this is a metaphor for a person you know...?
You can't clean it, or changed it until it decides too, so in the mean time, be supportive, loving and consistant until the 'fish' decides it wants to be clean.

Why dont you let the fish stay in the dirty water for a week and if he survives then try cleaning again and if he gets himself dirty than I would cook him to teach him who is boss

what are you talking about? never touch a fish, they are slimy for a reason, the slim protects them from catching germs, it is a barrier. If you clean the fish, you can kill it.

Let the fish deside when it wants to be clean > they stink any way weather you clean it or not.
