I have this party to go to on saturday night... no money so I can't buy or rent a costume.
however, I am a pretty good seamstress so I can knock something up pretty quickly if it comes to that.

BUT.. I have super dooper memory blockage at the moment... can anyone churn out some ideas as to what I can go as??
I only know about 3 people at this party.. and 2 of those I've only met once. so I don't want to look like a total fool.

any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

stats ;)

female
5ft2
long brunette hair
petite

ta very much for ANY help :P

in addition...

The reason I'm finding this so difficult is that I'm not an entirely halloweeny person.. and am not into the whole dress-up thingy.. although I wish I was, would make this a whole lot easier.

I do NOT want to look like a tart by the way.. incase anyone was going to suggest something silly like that!!

I am 19 by the way

Well, there's always the classic toga! All you need is a sheet!

Go as a traditional witch, or a vampires bride, or a cute devil. I once dressed up as a mummy, Using some old pants and a top my mum wrapped tissue paper around the whole outfit and sewed it on, my face was painted white with dark black circles under my eyes, and also red around my mouth to make it look like blood. I won a prize :) Be original! (My friend went as the girl from the exorcist, very scary! She backcombed her hair and wore a white long nitie- she also had very effective make-up)

I'd be a fairy or a pagent girl.
Fairy make yourself a knee length dress with a tail then make some wings out of paper mache and cardboard. Wand make it out of straws, paper mache and aluminum foil.

Pagent girl just get or make a dress that Miss America or Miss USA would wear. An old prom dress usually works. A tiara usually costs no more than $5 at a costume shop or you can make one out of wires and aluminum foil. Then make yourself one of those sash things that go across their chest. just make it out of white cloth with gold trim and write something silly on there like Miss Understood or Miss Representation

Well, I'm in the same boat as you. I have a costume party to go to, and I want to make something myself so I don't have to shell out cash.

I'm going as Operation [yes, the board game] I'm going to take a blank tshirt and paint the "organs" on it just like it is on the board game.

Princess Leia,A New Hope.

This one probably sounds a little young, but how about going as a Princess? If you have a fancy dress,(like a prom dress) you would just have to get it out of the closet!

you could be your favorite colored crayon

you could easily make this out of a big peice of paper and a little one use the little on to make a cone shaped hat

design the second paper into the wraping like you know on a crayon
the put it around youself

and just were close that are the same color :]
