How can I get Avatar World for my iMac computer?

Here is what my computer looks like:

when ever i try to download avatar world, this thing comes up and says: "PLugins require 8.0 or higher of yahoo messenger."
i just got yahoo messenger a few weeks ago, so shouldn't
i have the right kind?
