I would say fear and respect, but I wouldn't disregard it. Unless it was outrageous authority that would be the only time I would disregard it. Nevertheless the two former.

Respect if it is deserved, fear if it is authority that should not be in power.
Disregard if the person of authority is just an idiot...
but most importantly if I don't agree with authority - oppose it!
This applies for teachers, politicians and even cops if they abuse their power.
Respect for the good guys, opposition for the rest.

It depends on the situation I guess. If you have a teacher that is telling you crap...I disregard their authority and go over their head. If you have a cop pull you over for something you did wrong...respect. If you have CPS come to your front door telling you they are gonna take your kids away...FEAR!

The Constitution of the United States makes it quite clear that the People are the Authority. Gotta respect that.

respect. and maybe fear- only of a speeding ticket b/c i dont break the law. I think more people need to respect and have a little fear so there would be less crime. I cant stand people who think COPS are bad. I am sure there are a few bad ones out there but most put their lives on the line everyday to keep us all SAFE!

I respect Authority the usual kind and the Sports Authority as they have great soccer gear

I respect those who deserve to be respected. I fear those who deserve to be feared. I disgregard no one.
If my authority figure is kind and just then I will respect him and be loyal to him.
If my authority figure is a tyrant, I'll fear him but will feel no loyalty to him.
