I can't find this word in any dictionaries, and anywhere I can find it being used, the meaning is vague.

This word is a verb derived from the noun anamorphosis. This is the action of seeing a deformed figure when viewed through a distorted mirror such as one having a curved surface. To use your word you would have to say something like. "His shape was changed anamorphically by the curvature of the mirror as he looked into it."

anamorphic pertains to a either (1) a kind of distorting optical system or (2) a gradual evolution from one type of organism to another

the roots of the word are basically implying 1)change 2)shape
so it has to do which changing shape
